I've used both of those with Stella, MAME and other games.Another option, if you're on Snow Leopard or Lion, is a bluetooth PS3 controllers.Looks like Mac MAME OS X supports PS/2 United States Copyright © Apple Inc. I'm running newest version of X and I have a very old USB Gravis GamePad Pro... There's a standard for USB controllers which makes this possible.

I'm trying to get it to work with MacMAME, but i don't think my powerbookg4 is picking it up... Not MacMAME OS X, not Nanosaur 2.
